The Clock and Chimes of St Mary's Church, Westonzoyland.
Research carried out in 2014 by Julian Parr of West Wiltshire Clock Repairs, www.westwiltsclocks.co.uk , has uncovered much history of our clock and chimes.
The current clock mechanism dates from around 1750 having been made by Thomas Bayley of Bridgwater. The chimes are were renewed by John Hunt, a Bridgwater clockmaker, in 1730 and so pre date the clock.

The chimes were played by activating hammers which struck the five bells in the tower at that time. Using the notes of the bells the score below was developed. A representation of the tune can be heard by clicking the score below:
